If you're going to holiday in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, you might as well do so in a house that makes the most of it. Camps Bay Beach Villa is it: a beach house easily accessed from the street, yet built right on the granite boulders that define Camps Bay beach, with nothing between you and the glittering sea but your very own pool, and a deck equipped to party.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms:
Enter the unpretentious wooden door into another world - a private and unpretentious home that offers all you need for a perfect holiday. Enter directly to the pool deck or head through the front door and down a half-flight to the four bedrooms, all ranged around a TV lounge, and most opening onto the pool deck.

Leading off the corridor to the left is the first guest bedroom - a twin-bedded room with en suite bathroom featuring both tub and shower.

The second and third bedrooms lead off to the right - one is twin-bedded the other a double; both open onto the pool deck with sea views from the comfort of every bed. Both share a charming bathroom, again featuring tub and separate shower.

Step through the spacious TV lounge, with L-shaped leather sofa, into the main bedroom en-suite. This is a generous, light-filled room, with king-size bed, walk-through cupboard and large bathroom, featuring double shower, 'pebble' tub and double basins. Close up wrap around views.

Living Areas:
Up a flight of stairs from the lounge (or direct from the front door) to the public spaces, which feature wrap-around views of the beaches, mountains and ocean.

The kitchen is well equipped, with a separate laundry/washing up area; two ovens; a large fridge; cappuccino-maker etc. It is open plan to the fourteen-seater dining table, again featuring wrap-around views of the beach, mountains and sea.

The main lounge is comfortable, with white-washed wood finishes off-set by sea-green and orange tints, and dark wood pieces. There is a large gas fireplace should you be visiting during the winter months.

The lounge opens onto the upstairs furnished deck and has a 'dayroom' on one end - the huge couch could be turned into a double bed, and there is also an Indonesian cupboard here.

Behind the main lounge is another TV nook, with the most fabulous daybed - just the place for recalcitrant teenagers to retreat, or for any house guest who wishes to do something different from the rest.

Outdoor:
The downstairs pool deck is well furnished, with eight loungers and a comfortable outdoor sofa and chairs near the BBQ. The (gas) BBQ is built-in, with a handy bar fridge, and cupboards and connections to plug in the house hi-fi. There is also an outside eight-seater dining table, plus more seating spaces on this open air upstairs deck.

Glen Beach, adjacent to Camps Bay beach, is one of Cape Town's best-kept secrets, with only a handful of homes enjoying 24/7 access.
