Bloekom Villa

Bloekom Villa is a fully private home at the base of the Overberg mountains, overlooking the Klein Rivier Valley. It is situated on a delightful 4 star estate, nestled among ancient Blue Gum trees, just outside Hermanus. The estate is a working wine farm with developing vineyards.

The villa is typically for self-catering, however as it is situated on an estate guests can also enjoy the gourmet Blue Gum Restaurant as a dining alternative. Blue Gum is known for its delicious food and enjoying a gourmet French dinner is always a firm favourite amongst the villa guests.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms:
Sleeps up to eight guests.

Bloekom Villa has three bedrooms and sleeps up to eight guests. There is an extra sleeper couch which can accommodate and extra to guests at the villa.

All the bedrooms have doors opening onto a patio area overlooking the Klein Rivier Valley. All beds are equipped with feather down duvets and pillows and are covered with cotton-percale linen.

The main bedroom has a king-size bed and full ensuite bathroom as well as a mini lounge area.
The second bedroom has twin beds and the third bedroom has two bunk-beds which sleeps up to four people.

The villa has two bathrooms and a guest toilet. The main bathroom is fully equipped with shower, bath, toilet and basin.

Living Areas:
The villa is decorated in a French Provence-style and is exceedingly spacious with a lovely fully equipped kitchen, a relaxed family lounge area, a formal lounge and dining area, outdoor patio areas with panoramic views and a private swimming pool. Additionally the house offers a large LCD TV with full DSTV, a bar area with board games, fireplace and comfortable furniture.

The family lounge area is open-plan with the kitchen. It has comfortable couches and chairs to seat seven adult guests. This lounge area also offers a fireplace and full DSTV.
It opens onto a small verandah overlooking the Klein Rivier Valley, and the outside patio onto the garden and swimming pool.

The formal lounge is accessed through the formal dining area. It has comfortable couches and chairs to seat six guests. The lounge overlooks the Klein Rivier Valley with doors opening onto the small verandah.

The formal dining room seats up to eight guests at a long French-style dining table with a chandelier above.

The kitchen is open plan with the family lounge. It is fully equipped with a double oven, gas hob and all the general appliances required. It offers great views of the Klein Rivier Valley and doors opening onto a verandah overlooking the Overberg mountains. There is also a provence-style table and benches for informal dining. The kitchen opens onto a laundry/ scullery area which has double sinks, dishwasher, fridge and pantry cupboards.

The front verandah is small and overlooks the Klein Rivier Valley with comfy cushioned chairs and coffee table. A small stoep is found in front of all the bedrooms overlooking the Klein Rivier Valley.

A large verandah overlooks the Overberg mountains, gardens and the pool area at thee back of the villa. This verandah is spacious and offers a dining table and chairs, comfortable cushioned deck chairs and a braai/ barbeque area.

Outdoor:
Activities to be enjoyed on the estate include: hiking, leisurely walks, mountain-bike riding, boule, bird-watching, tennis and various board games for a lazy afternoon's entertainment.

A private pool area with deck chairs overlooks the Overberg mountains. The pool is approximately 7 meters long, and 3 meters wide. It is not fenced and children are advised to please be careful.

Other:
Double garage is provided with direct entry into the Villa. Additional outdoor parking is available outside the villa, for up to six cars on a gravel stoned area with fountain approximately 10 meters from the front entrance to the villa.
